Islam is a deen, which means it is a way of life and not just another religion. It is important to remember this. There is a small chapter (109) in the Holy Quran where the Holy Prophet (s) is told to say that he will not worship what the disbelievers worship and they will not worship what he worships. It ends by saying: you live the way you want to and I will live the way I want to. Looking at life in light of this interpretation of the chapter makes us tolerant towards those whose behaviour we disapprove.
